These terms cover your use of MetrIQ during the beta. MetrIQ is operated by Caltrix Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By using MetrIQ you agree to them.
1 · What MetrIQ is
MetrIQ builds triathlon training plans and explains them. During the beta it is free, incomplete, and changing.
2 · Who can use it
You must be 18 or older, and you must have been accepted into the beta. Don't share your access with anyone else.
3 · This is training guidance, not medical advice
This is the most important section on this page.
MetrIQ is not a doctor, a physiotherapist or a healthcare provider, and nothing it produces is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Training plans, session notes, fueling guidance and anything MetrIQ says about pain, sleep or recovery are general guidance based on the information you give it.
You are responsible for your own health. Endurance training carries real risk of injury and, rarely, of serious harm. Before starting or changing a training program, talk to a doctor, particularly if you have a medical condition, are recovering from injury or illness, are pregnant, or haven't trained in a long time.
Stop and seek medical advice if something is wrong. Chest pain, breathlessness at rest, dizziness, fainting, or pain that gets worse are reasons to stop training and see a doctor, whatever your plan says. MetrIQ can't see you and doesn't know what it isn't told.
You decide what to do on any given day. MetrIQ suggests; you choose.
4 · It's a beta
MetrIQ is early software. Things will be wrong. Sessions may be miscalculated, the app may be unavailable, features may change or disappear, and data may be lost. We'll do our best, but we make no promise that MetrIQ works correctly or is available at any particular time.
We may change or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time.
There is no export of your plan or your history. You can download a single workout as a file for Zwift, but MetrIQ doesn't offer a way to download or transfer your plan or your training history, and your plan may not be available to you after the beta ends. If you want a record of your training, keep your own.
5 · What we ask of you
By joining the beta you agreed to train with the plan, record your sessions, answer the daily check-in, send honest feedback, and be available for two short calls. None of that is legally binding; it's the deal, and either of us can walk away from it.
Don't use MetrIQ to break the law, don't try to break into it, and don't copy its content for a competing product.
6 · Your data
How we handle your information is covered in the privacy notice. You keep ownership of what you put in. You give us permission to use it for one purpose: to run MetrIQ for you — to build your own plan and keep it up to date, and to find and fix problems in the app.
Data we receive from Strava or Garmin is used only for your own plan and shown only to you. We don't use anyone's data to train or build any model, and we never pass it to anyone who would.
Feedback you send is ours to use. If you tell us something is broken or suggest a change, we can act on it without owing you anything for it.
7 · Cost
The beta is free. If MetrIQ later becomes a paid product, you won't be charged for anything without agreeing to it first.
8 · Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Caltrix Labs LLC is not liable for injury, illness, lost training, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of MetrIQ. MetrIQ is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
